Athletico Madrid wants to have their former on loan defender Fabricio Coloccini move to the Vicente Calderon. The Argentine international center half had a very difficult time at the St. James Park this season. He moved to Newcastle on a huge 10million pound transfer from Deportivo La Coruna with whom he spent five years where he was a regular starter and even scored 4 goals.

27 year Coloccini is still said to be very highly thought of in Spain and would love to move back at the first opportunity he gets. It seems he would be available at an even lesser price than what Newcastle had paid for him.

The Los Colchoneros are intending on strengthening their back four this season and have been told that the Argentine is very keen on leaving St James Park this summer. Despite being a first team regular Coloccini is unhappy because Newcastle is in a relegation struggle and he says he didn’t expect this to happen when he came to Tyneside.

PEREZ for Real Madrid presidency

The man who created the Galacticos and brought the likes of Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, David Beckham and many more Fiorentino Perez is all set to announce his come back into Real Madrid. The construction magnate is ready to officially announce his candidacy at the RITZ hotel in Madrid on Thursday. Fiorentino Perez was the president of Real Madrid for six years from 2000-2006 which included a champions league season in 2002 but three trophyless season saw him quit his post to be taken over temporarily by Fernando Martin and then Ramon Calderon.

The media campaign that had started to have him re-elected to Real Madrid Board has got stronger. There is also a speculation that this time around he plans to get Kaka and Ronaldo among other to the Santiago Bernebau but he also needs a big time coach who can supplement his wishes. His office too released a statement regarding his intentions which they said he would come out this week and also outline his policy in the second stint. Next on the radar of Aston villa manager Martin’O Neill is the 6’7” tall Serbian international Nikola Zigic. The striker who went on loan to Racing Santander in the January transfer window has been in the eyes of the premier league teams for quite some time now. With the financial crisis it seems that Valencia are all set to offload a lot of players so that they can ease some of their financial troubles. With 11 goals in 17 matches for Racing since January Zigic has been in fine form for Racing since his loan move from the Metsalla.

EPL are not the only league that has come looking for him this season, Italian side Napoli have also considered a move for the forward in March. His stay at Valencia has been a major failure considering he made a big time £20m five year contract signing which saw him scoring just one goal for the Los Che only to be sent back to Racing Santander in the January transfer window.

Crash Charges may be quashed against Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo

On the 8^th of January Cristiano Ronaldo escaped death when his brand new gleaming Ferrari crashed in a tunnel in Manchester. Ronaldo had lost control of his car while turning in the tunnel. The 23 year old Portuguese superstar had walked unscathed from the crash. He was also breath-tested by the police for drunk driving but was found to be fine.

Now it has come to light that the Man Utd winger will not be charged for the crash that wrecked his £200,000 Ferrari. The official authorities were probing whether the superstar was speeding or using a mobile phone while driving which caused the accident in the tunnel but Ronaldo claimed that it was oil on the road in the tunnel that caused the crash.

A spokesman for the Greater Manchester police claimed that there would unlikely be any charges. This could not have come at a bigger time for Cristiano Ronaldo with some big season ending games coming up including the all important Champions League final against Barcelona at Rome.

Dani Alves and Eric Abidal to miss the champions league final clash

           Barcelona received a blow ahead of their Champions league final clash with against Barcelona at Rome on the 27^th of May when UEFA the governing body of FIFA rejected the appeal of Barcelona for overturning the suspensions of Dani Alves and Eric Abidal. Now this must have come as a body blow for Barcelona considering the fact both these players happen to be vital cogs in the Blagurana machine.

The Control and Disciplinary Body did not admit the protest made by the Barcelona officials to the red card of Abidal and the caution of Daniel Alves da Silva during the Champions league semifinal second leg clash against Chelsea.

Also missing the final would be Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher for his red card in the semi final clash against Arsenal at the Emirates stadium. Evidence from the television replays showed that the referee had committed an error in the decision but the governing body suspended the case stating that all the three appeals made by both team had arrived late and therefore and also there were no rules for referees to alter the decision.

So all three players will receive a one match champions league suspension sentence and they will serve it in the final when Manchester United will meet Barcelona on the 27^th

Carlos Tevez on the way out of Man Utd but not England

Manchester united striker Carlos Tevez has expressed his unhappiness at being kept on the bench by the Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson. Tevez dropped the shocking news of him quitting old Trafford in a exclusive interview to the News Of The World.

The future of the Argentinean striker has long been a topic of discussion with the loan deal expiring this summer and United not seeming interested in signing him on a permanent basis despite some good performances on the field.

The Argentine a two time South American player of the year and a national hero back home has been reduced to a substitute player this season with full time appearances in the premier league limited and the only major appearances coming in the FA Cup and Carling Cup.

The Rights to Carlos Tevez are owned by the MSI group led by Iranian Kia Joorabchian who revealed that lot of clubs interested in signing the 25 year old forward but it wouldn’t be proper to start negotiations without the season ending out of respect for Manchester United.

Tevez felt he was the one who missed out on the starting places as he had to fight for starting places with Cristiano Ronaldo, Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney. If we take a look at the statistics Tevez has been involved in more games than Rooney or Berbatov. Out of the 57 times he has been named in the squad he has started or ended on the bench an astonishing 27 times and also been an unused substitute on 10 other occasions. Tevez felt that that knowing he would be dropped whether he played well or just OK would have a negative impact on his morale.

Since joining Manchester United on a two year loan deal in 2007 he has been a fan’s favorite and he showed his appreciation when he mentioned that Manchester United fans would be in his heart.

Tevez also revealed that he would like to stay in England and squashed rumors about him moving to Spain and also his family were quite happy staying in England where his daughter Florencia is learning English and his wife is also pretty much happy staying in England.

As things stand as of now it seems very much unlikely we would see Carlos Tevez in the Red Devils Jersey next season but his desire to stay in England must have set the cash registers ringing at the other clubs. So will it be the Reds, Blues, the Gunners or cross town rivals City only time will tell.
