Crash Charges may be quashed against Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo

On the 8th of January Cristiano Ronaldo escaped death when his brand new gleaming Ferrari crashed in a tunnel in Manchester. Ronaldo had lost control of his car while turning in the tunnel. The 23 year old Portuguese superstar had walked unscathed from the crash. He was also breath-tested by the police for drunk driving but was found to be fine.

Now it has come to light that the Man Utd winger will not be charged for the crash that wrecked his £200,000 Ferrari. The official authorities were probing whether the superstar was speeding or using a mobile phone while driving which caused the accident in the tunnel but Ronaldo claimed that it was oil on the road in the tunnel that caused the crash.

A spokesman for the Greater Manchester police claimed that there would unlikely be any charges. This could not have come at a bigger time for Cristiano Ronaldo with some big season ending games coming up including the all important Champions League final against Barcelona at Rome.
